PPP President and former president of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari has termed it necessary to conduct an action similar to that of the Swat operation to end terrorism in country, a statement by PPP said on Monday
Zardari extended condolences over the martyrdom of Lieutenant Colonel Muhammad Hassan Haider, Naik Rafiq Khan, Naik Khushdal Khan, and Lance Naik Abdul Qadir in Tirah of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during an operation.
The former president said that the nation will not let the sacrifice of its brave men in vain.
He said that an operation similar to the Swat operation was necessary to rid the country of terrorism.
Terrorists are enemies of the country, the former president said, adding that it is necessary to eliminate them.
Asif Ali Zardari expressed sympathy and condolences to the families of the martyrs and prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured.
Earlier today, four soldiers including a lieutenant colonel of the Pakistan Army were martyred in an exchange of fire with terrorists during an intelligence-based operation in the Tirah area of the Khyber district in KP, the Inter-Services Public Relations said.
In a statement, the military’s media wing said that three terrorists were killed and three others were injured during the operation conducted by security forces on the reported presence of terrorists.
