The value of the rupee took another hit in the first trading session of the week as it shed 32 paisas against the dollar in the interbank foreign exchange market on Monday.
The greenback was trading at Rs279.12 at the closing of the interbank market, as against the closing of Rs278.8 on Friday.
In the open market, the dollar was up by Re1 to reach Rs281.
Meanwhile, the Pakistan Stock Exchange closed on a positive note where the benchmark KSE-100 Index gained 338.96 points or 0.67% to reach 51,070.82 levels.
The KSE-30 Index gained 138.13 points or 0.79% to hit 17,597.13 levels at the closing of the market.
