Shoaib Akhtar says, ‘Pakistan cannot afford to lose from Afghanistan’

Former pacer of Pakistan Shoaib Akhtar termed today’s (Monday) clash between Pakistan and Afghanistan as a ‘crucial’ match of the World Cup 2023 as teams will land on the ground of Chennai, India in desperate need of a win.

Pakistan began the journey of World Cup 2023 with victory over the Netherlands and Sri Lanka, but the last two matches gave the inverse results.

Pakistan’s legendary fast bowler player Shoaib Akhtar alias “Rawalpindi Express” term the match a crucial clash for Pakistan he said that Afghanistan is not a weak team they have a complete number of spinners.

He added that the crowd support, ground support, and spinning attack would favour Afghanistan.

“Pakistan cannot afford to lose from Afghanistan,” Shoaib Akhter added.

While admitting the poor performance in the last two matches, Pakistani pacer Shaheen Afridi expressed optimism for good results in upcoming matches.

The match is to be played at M.A. Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai at 1:30 pm
