Actor Momin Saqib expressed his disappointment over an alleged video of an Indian official barring a Pakistani fan from chanting in support of Pakistan team as they play against Australia in the World Cup.
In the video shared by Saqib on his account on X, a fan wearing Pakistan’s green jersey is seen in an argument with the Indian official who is heard stopping him from chanting “Pakistan Zindabad”.
“I can’t say Pakistan Zindabad. Bharat mata ki jay is good but Pakistan Zindabad is not good,” he asked the official, who replied by saying that the chant supporting Pakistan was not allowed, however, “Bharat mata ki jay was good.”
“We came from Pakistan and if we do not say Pakistan zindabad, what we will say?” the Pakistan fan asked.
However, the official seemed to have doubled down on his stance despite the fan arguing his case that they were there to support Pakistan which was playing against Australia.
Seeing no way out, the fan grabbed his phone to have the official recorded while barring him from chanting in support of Pakistan, on which the official left the scene.
