Pakistan Muslim League-N supremo Nawaz Sharif arrived in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, from Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, on Thursday evening, people familiar with the development told Aaj News.
Nawaz went to the house of Ali Dar, the son of former finance minister Ishaq Dar, from the airport. He is expected to stay for at least two days in Dubai.
They also shared a picture that showed Nawaz Sharif and his son Hussain Nawaz.
He is scheduled to fly to Pakistan on October 21 after having “important meetings” in the city. Nawaz would land in his home country on a Fly Dubai flight.
There has also been a change in the programme of Nawaz as he would arrive in Islamabad instead of Lahore, sources said.
In a statement, PML-N leader Atta Tarar confirmed that the party supremo would first come to the federal capital and after legal consultation would go to Lahore. He made it clear that the gathering scheduled on Saturday at the Minar-e-Pakistan would be held at its scheduled time.
In response to the question regarding Nawaz getting a security bond, Tarar said that the statement of NAB was in front of everyone. “The procedure for obtaining a security bond is procedural. We do not have any out of the way relief.”
On the other hand, the preparations for the rally at Minar-e-Pakistan have entered the final stages. The main stage has been prepared, and caravans have started leaving for Lahore from different parts of the country including Sindh.
Earlier in the day, a two-member bench of the Islamabad High Court granted protective bail to former prime minister Nawaz Sharif in the Al-Azizia and Avenfield case till October 24.
The development came after an accountability court suspended Nawaz’s perpetual warrants in the Toshakhana case on Thursday.
