Analyst Mohsin Baig has said that Nawaz Sharif’s return on October 21 has been arranged after a solid agreement was reached.
“So far, it seems things have been going on in line with the arrangement and will continue in the future,” he told Asma Shirazi on Faisla Aap Ka.
According to Baig, the former prime minister will successfully file his nomination papers and will contest upcoming elections.
When asked about the politicians’ deals for the government, he said that all political leaders want to make deals. “Tell me the name of one politician who does not want to make a deal to grab power.”
Regarding elections and the PPP’s calls for holding elections without delay, he said that the PPP participated in the meeting which approved the census 2023.
“The PPP knew that the Election Commission would carry out delimitation on the basis of a new census. If they had a problem, they should not have agreed to the approval of census,” he added.
Legal expert Hasan Raza Pasha has said that Nawaz Sharif will have to approach the court to undo the verdict in which he was disqualified for a lifetime.

“The period of disqualification under Article 62(1)(f) is not stated. So, he will have to approach the Supreme Court to overturn his conviction either by submitting a file or when objections are raised at the time of submission of his nomination paper,” he added.
For Pasha, Sharif is likely to have the opportunity to address the PML-N rally on October 21 without appearing before the court as the courts will be closed on the day of his homecoming.
“It was for the first time that a convict was allowed to go abroad. It will be the first impression when a convict will be given a protective bail before his return,” he said while responding to a question regarding the relief to Nawaz Sharif on his return.
