Two soldiers have been martyred in a gun battle with terrorists in North and South Waziristan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the Inter-Services Public Relations said in a statement on Sunday.
In a statement, the military’s media wing said that the first operation was conducted in South Waziristan’s Asman Manza area. The operation was conducted on the suspected hideouts of terrorists.
The second operation was conducted in the Miran Shah area of North Waziristan.
The martyred soldiers were identified as Sepoy Sajid Azam, 31, a resident of Kotli in Azad Jammu and Kashmir, and Sepoy Waris Khan, 27, a resident of Karak.
Two terrorists were killed and another wounded in the operations, the ISPR said.
“Pakistan remains committed to ending the menace of terrorism and the sacrifices of our brave soldiers strengthen our resolve,” said the statement.
