Two Palestinian students attacked in Gujranwala

An attack in Gujranwala Medical College left two Palestinian students injured.

The two Palestinians were shifted to the hospital after being injured by a ‘sharp object’, reports said.

An FIR filed in Aroop Police Station identified the Palestinian men as Khaldoon and Abdul Karim.

Khaldoon told the police the the two students lived in Platinum Mall Tower and were returning to their apartment at around 8 pm, when six men from an adjoining room emerged and scuffled with them.

He added that he and his friends escaped to their own room, where the six men reappeared armed with a knife and glass bottle. Khaldoon says the men tried to fatally attack them and were only stopped when other residents of the building appeared. However, Abdul Karim was seriously injured.

THe FIR also identifies four of the six involved as Rafay Butt, Malik Sufyan, Hamza and Ali Kamboh while leaving two others unidentified.

One report quoted police to say that some men were involved in harassing female students who studied along with the Palestinian men.

However, when the two Palestinians tried to put a stop to the matter, they were attacked and injured.

Police said that a case for the incident had been registered against six men out of which four have already been arrested.
