Sindh police advises robbed MNA to pray for asset’s recovery

The Sindh police have advised Pakistan People’s Party’s member of the National Assembly Sadia Javed to pray for the recovery of her assets instead of taking action against the accused.

Sadia expressed grievance over the non-professional behaviour of the police, she said the station house officer of Darakhsha police station, Clifton, instead of taking action against the accused was directing her to pray for the return of her assets, then it would be found.

The incident of robbery happened on October 7 when robbers looted a gold cash amount from Sadia’s house.

The first information report was registered on the complaint of former MNA Sadia Javed’s brother Naveed, under sections 381 (theft by clerk or servant or property in possession of master), and 34 (Acts done by several persons (in furtherance of common intention) of the Pakistan penal code.

The FIR stated that on September 20, she had hired a maid identified as Fatima who usually came with her mother and sister. On October 7, she with her family members stole ornaments and cash worth 9 million.
