The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf said that facts cannot be hidden by interviews conducted after ‘abductions’ after party leader Sadaqat Abbasi put the blame for May 9 on the leadership in a TV appearance.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter) on Monday, PTI said that Abbasi could be seen asking people to refrain from violence and vandalism on May 9, which was opposite his statement in the TV interview.
The post also put a clip from Abbasi’s interview saying violence had been ordered by the PTI leadership side by side with a video of his speech on May 9 asking them not to vandalise anything and stay peaceful.
After months of being away from the public eye, during which it had been speculated that he had been ‘picked up’, Abbasi appeared in a TV interview on Monday where he announced he was parting ways with PTi and leaving politics.
Abbasi accused PTI Chairman Imran Khan of planning May 9 events and giving directions to the supporters of the party. He also alleged that Bushra Bibi had presided over a meeting planning May 9 violence.

His interview comes soon after another party leader, Usman Dar, mysteriously reappeared on the scene in an interview and said that the events of May 9 had been planned by PTI.
