At least five terrorists have been killed in an exchange of fire with security forces in Balochistan’s district on the reported presence of terrorists, the Inter-Services Public Relations said on Tuesday.
In a statement, the military’s media wing said that Major Syed Ali Raza, 31, from Punjab’s Sargodha district, and soldier Nisar Ahmed,28, from the Vehari district, were martyred during the gun battle with terrorists.
Amid a fresh rise in terrorist activities, security forces have been conducting operations in the country to ensure peace in the country.
“Security forces of Pakistan are indebted & proud of our brave men and pay homage to their chivalry and sacrifices for the motherland, which further strengthens our resolve to uproot the menace of terrorism from the country,” said the statement.
The sanitisation of the surrounding areas was being conducted to eliminate any other terrorists found in the area.
Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar made a post on X, erstwhile Twitter, on Tuesday.
“In a daring operation in Zhob district, our security forces brought 5 terrorists to justice. Real life heroes, Major Syed Ali Raza Shah and Havaldar Nisar Ahmed, made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. Their dedication reinforces our resolve to eliminate terrorism from Pakistan. We honor our brave soldiers!” he said.

“A large quantity of equipment and explosives has also been recovered. The killed terrorists had been actively involved in multiple terrorist activities against the law enforcement agencies,” the ISPR had said.
