The dollar declined further against the rupee as its value dipped by Rs1.04 in the interbank foreign exchange market on Monday, the first trading session of the week.
The foreign currency closed at 281.65 in the interbank market, as against the closing of Rs282.69 on Friday, according to the State Bank of Pakistan.
Meanwhile, the Pakistan Stock Exchange started the week on a positive note on the back of improved sentiments.
The benchmark KSE-100 Index gained 228.22 points, or 0.48%, and closed at 47,721.79 levels. The KSE-30 Index gained 129.65 points, or 0.79% as it closed at 16,503.52 levels on Monday.
