The caretaker government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has constituted committees to carry out geofencing of businesses owned by Afghan nationals and to locate the residences of Afghan nationals illegally living in the country.
A provincial implementation committee has been constituted in this regard under the chair of the interior secretary of KP which will also include the inspector general of KP among other high-ranking officials, sources said.
Additionally, deputy commissioners will lead the sub-committees on the district level to implement the decisions taken in the Apex Committee meeting, they added.
The committees will carry out geofencing of businesses owned by Afghan nationals while the residences of these refugees will also be located to collect data on their documents.

Action against illegal immigrants is in full swing across the country after the Apex Committee on October 3 decided to expel illegal refugees from Pakistan and confiscate their properties after the deadline set for their return ends.
“All illegal foreign nationals will be bound to return to their country,” a statement issued by the committee said.
A day earlier, at least 16 trucks, having 30 Afghan families aboard, arrived at the Torkham border in the Khyber district of KP, the Commissionerate Afghan Refugees said.
The returning Afghan families comprise 350 people, the authority said, adding that they would be allowed to return after legal formalities.
Approximately 1.42 million – out of the total 4.4 million Afghan nationals – have proof of registration, according to the interior ministry. Pakistan hosts 0.85 million Afghan citizen card holders and 1.73 million illegal Afghan nationals.
