All-rounder Shadab Khan has got a birthday surprise from his wife. The vice captain of the Pakistan cricket team would turn 24 on October 4.
“I can’t thank Allah enough for having her in my life,” he said in a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, on Tuesday.
Shadab married former cricketer Saqlain Mushtaq’s daughter in an intimate wedding ceremony on February 09, 2023. He tied the knot in January 2023.
The bowling all-rounder is in India to participate in the 50-over World Cup. He led the side on Tuesday in the warm-up match against Australia. Pakistan lost the match by 14 runs.
“I am becoming part of my mentor Saqi Bhai’s [Saqlain Mushtaq’s] family. When I started playing cricket, I wanted to keep my family life separate, my family has also opted to stay out of public light. My wife has asked for the same, she wants her life to remain private,” Shadab wrote in a post on X in January.
