Senior puisne judge of the Sindh High Court Justice Irfan Saadat Khan on Tuesday took oath as the acting chief justice of the high court after Justice Ahmed Ali M Shaikh hanged up his robes.

A day earlier, Justice Shaikh retired after reaching the age of superannuation.

Senior judge Justice Aqeel Ahmed Abbasi administered the oath-taking witnessed by lawyers community in the committee room of the SHC.
