The latest movie, Jawan, of Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan was getting closer to collecting 1,000 crore Indian rupees at the worldwide global box office.
The hardcore masala entertainer collected 979.08 crore Indian rupees at the worldwide box office by Sunday, the Red Chillies Entertainment said in a post on X, formerly known as Twitter.
Jawan is Khan’s second release this year and like his last release, Pathaan, is breaking records. Pathaan had a worldwide collection of 1,042.2 crore Indian rupees, becoming the fifth highest-grosser Indian movie, according to IMDb.
Shah Rukh Khan, who is often referred to by his initials SRK among his fans, has been seen communicating with his fans on X. Many fans have been all smiles with SRK’s response to their post.
In order to become the highest-grosser movie of all time in the Indian film industry, Jawan has to collect more than 1,924.7 crore Indian rupees—a record set by Aamir Khan’s sports drama Dangal in 2016.
Box office numbers show that Jawan was making new records as on Friday the movie became the fastest movie to enter the 500 crore club. The movie reached the feat in 18 days, surpassing Gadar 2 which had collected such an amount in 24 days.
SRK has one more release left for 2023 which is none other than with prominent filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani who directed Sanju, Munna Bhai MBBS, Lage Raho Munna Bhai, 3 Idiots, and PK.
Dunki will hit cinemas on Christmas, but before that, he would be seen in Tiger 3 with Salman Khan.
