A 17-year-old girl on Friday shot dead her father who had been allegedly raping her. Police arrested the accused, and initiated a probe into the matter.

The incident happened in Gujjar Pura of Lahore, where Amna killed her father Bilal Khan.

The victim was a father of five, and the accused was his eldest daughter.

Amna later confessed to the killing an claimed that her father raped her, according to police sources.

Police moved the dead body to the mortuary and after registering the first information report initiated an investigation into the case.
