An intelligence-based operation by security forces in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s district Kurram led to the discovery of a large cache of explosives on Thursday.

The operation, jointly conducted by police and security forces, targeted a dairy farm in Kurram. The forces arrived to find that a huge cache of explosives was hidden in the building which could possibly be used in a terror activity.

The recovered items inlcuded 250 detonators, primacords, landmines and eight receivers.

The operation comes a day after police busted a loader rickshaw carrying explosives at a check point in tehsil Bara in KP.

The rickshaw was carrying explosives hidden under grass and was built for a suicide bombing.
