Police arrest suspect in female property dealer killing case in Karachi

The Karachi police arrested one of the three suspects for allegedly killing a female property dealer in front of her house in Quaidabad, Karachi.

The accused Tahir Ibrahim alias Raju was named in the first information report filed on the complaint of the victim’s sister, while the prime suspect Nadir is yet to be arrested.

The firing occurred in the Quaidabad area when Nadir came to his former employer’s house on a motorbike along with two armed men and opened fire on Aasia.

Nadir had been recently terminated from his job at the victim Aasia’s house. According to the police they were conducting raids to arrest the prime suspect.

Legal aid to the victim said that Aasia was busy in conversation with ASI Mehboob Ali when the suspects opened fire resulting in the killing of Aasia while ASI Ali was wounded as he took two bullets to his body. Another bullet wounded the deceased’s younger sister.

Advocate Mazhar Ali Junejo, who counsels Aasia in property cases told journalists that the suspect was a servant and driver of the victim for two years and was terminated four days ago.

Abdul Rehman, brother of the victim said that the suspect had been expelled on a payment dispute.

The FIR was registered at Shah Latif Police Station on the complaint of the victim’s sister.

According to the report, Nadir is a resident of Larkana and lives in Sherpao Colony, Karachi.

Senior Superintendent of Police Tariq Elahi Mastooi arrived at the spot the firing while the police initiated investigation into the killing after recording the statement of the family members
