An injured leopard cub was spotted on a road in Muzaffarabad on Friday and a crowd gathered around it.
Officials of the wildlife department directed residents to maintain a safe distance from the cub before a team arrived to rescue it.
The residents of Bararkot, a village located near Muzaffarabad, rushed to the spot to see the cub when they came to know about it.
The cub made it to the road after being wounded for unknown reasons and was resting on the asphalt road when it was spotted by local people.
People believed the little leopard was hungry and thirsty.
Thousands of leopards live in the mountainous region of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Azad Jammu and Kashmir. However, this elusive animal is a rare sight for many.
