The dollar weakened on the last trading day of the business week in the interbank, as it declined by Rs1.11 or 0.37% on Friday, according to the State Bank of Pakistan.
The greenback closed at Rs296.85 as the rupee continued to record gains in the interbank.
The rupee also strengthened in the open market and was available at Rs297 after the value of foreign currency depreciated by Rs1 on Friday.
The Pakistan Stock Exchange also witnessed a positive session where the benchmark KSE-100 Index gained 103.46 points, or 0.23%, and closed at 45,753.51 levels on Friday.
The KSE-30 Index was also moving in the green zone as it gained 24.37 points, or 0.15%, and closed at 16,091.77 levels.
