The Pakistan Metrological Department predicted heavy rain and thunderstorms in Pakistan on Friday, while provincial disaster management authorities issued an alert to the concerned department, fearing rains could cause flooding.
The Met Office said in its forecast that some upper parts of the county and Sindh’ That region will witness downpour and thundershowers.
The monsoon winds from the Bay of Bengal will enter in the country on Friday, affecting the upper areas of the country, said the Met.
However, the westerly wind will likely enter on Saturday.
Kashmir, Gilgit Baltistan, Murree, Galyat and some areas of Punjab will witness downpours from today, it did.
Moreover, areas of Sindh including Mithi, Tharparkar, Nagarparkar, Umar Kot, and Sanghar will receive rainfall on Friday, but in other cities of the province the weather will remain hot and humid, according to the Met.
