The dollar declined by Rs1.06 in the interbank foreign exchange market as it was trading at Rs298.82 at the closing of the market on Wednesday.
The rupee gained 0.36% against the greenback, which was trading at Rs298.82 at the closing of the market, as against the closing of Rs299.89 the previous day.
In the open market, the foreign currency was available at Rs299 on Wednesday, dealers said.
The Pakistan Stock Exchange closed on a positive note as the KSE-100 Index gained 82.53 points, or 0.18%, to close at 45,590.93 levels. The KSE-30 Index gained 17.16 points, or 0.11% as it reached 16,080.11 levels at the closing of the trading session.
