A protest demonstration was held in Karachi on Monday against the abduction of some Hindu community members in Sindh’s Kashmore district.
It was organised by the Hindu community, Aurat March, and Civil Society in the city’s Teen Talwar area. Social activists also participated in it. A similar protest was held on September 4 at the same venue
The community members said that the protest would continue until the recovery of Sagar and Priya Kumari, the two minority girls, who were abducted from Sindh’s Kashmore district, and others.
Last week, the community staged sit-ins in Kandhkot and Kashmore against the recovery of the abducted members of the Hindu community in Kashmore, including Mukhi Jagdish Kumar, Sagar Kumar, Jaideep Kumar and Dr Munir Naij.
They were abducted by riverine bandits, locally known as Katcha areas, located in the border areas of Sindh and Punjab.
On September 5, the Kashmore police claimed that they had recovered a third person from among five people.
Last week, Inspector General of Police Riffat Mukhtar Raja assured members of the Hindu community that the kidnapped boy Sagar Kumar would be recovered as soon as possible.
