Many parts of Karachi were submerged in darkness on Saturday night after more than 10 grid stations of K-Electric were shut down and over 400 feeders tripped due to the tripping of a transmission line a little.
“There was a report of interruption in power supply from limited areas of the city,” Imran Rana, spokesperson of the K-Electric, wrote on X. “K-Electric’s system is stable and all grids are fully functional.”
As per reports, Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Gulistan-e-Johar, Gadap, Baldia, North Nazimabad, Walika, SITE Area, Shadman Town, Memon Goth, Model Colony, and Saud Abad were out of electricity.
The resulting temporary disruption of electricity has been restored immediately, Rana claimed.
