The Board for Control of Cricket in India has announced the 15-member squad for the ODI World Cup scheduled to start on October 5 in India.
KL Rahul has been included in India’s ODI World Cup squad. He is their first-choice wicketkeeper-batter in the format.
The tournament will start on October 5 in Ahmedabad when defending champions England will take on New Zealand, the runners-up from 2019.
India, host of the tournament, will open their campaign against Australia in Chennai on October 8.
Batter Tilak Varma and fast bowler Prasidh Krishna are the two players from the current squad of 17 in Sri Lanka to have missed out, along with Sanju Samson, who is a reserve player at the Asia Cup.
Ishan Kishan has retained his place as the other wicketkeeper-batter in the squad.
