A Lahore man took his own life a day after he gunned down a young woman in front of her father.
Isha, a class XII student, was killed in the Chohang neighbourhood of Lahore on Wednesday by a shoot riding a motorbike.
Police suspected her classmate Hannan had something to do with the murder.
Hannan was a resident of Mandi Bahauddin and studied in Lahore with Isha.
He shot himself dead when police arrived at his home to arrest him.
The motives behind Isha’s murder were still not clear as of Thursday.
The police have registered the First Information Report against unknown motorcyclists on the complaint of her father, Abdul Ghaffar, a retired deputy director of the Election Commission of Pakistan.
The motorcyclists fired a single shot at Isha and sped away, according to the first information report filed by Ghafar at Chohang police station.
Isha was rushed to a local hospital but scummed to her injury.
She was the youngest of three sisters.
