The Ministry of Inter-provincial Coordination has sent a summary for the removal of Zaka Ashraf as chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board’s management committee.
The summary has been sent to the principal secretary to the prime minister and is titled ‘Guidelines for the caretaker government.’
Referring to a letter by the Election Commission of Pakistan from August 15, the summary calls for Zaka Ashraf’s removal because of being a political appointment.
The para referenced in the letter says, “To ensure immediate termaination of services of all heads of the institutions appointed on political basis and to send all such cases to the commission for approval of termination or otherwise.”
Apart from Ashraf, the letter also mentions Peer Syed Ahmed Nawaz Shah, chairman of the Federal Land Commission, for removal.
The letter adds the abbrevaition for Pakistan Peoples Party next to both names.
