A few months after introducing an edit feature , popular chatting platform WhatsApp is expanding the scope of what can be edited.
Although intially restricted to text messages, the edit feature has now been extended to captions for files, images, videos and GIFs as well.
Like the text editing feature, the caption editing option will be available for only 15 minutes after sending the message.
For now, the feature has only been rolled out for a small number of selected users. Going to the Play Stor or the App Store will show if the newest update is available.
Going forward, WhatsApp hopes to introduce the feature for all users, WA Beta info reported.
The edit feature, a long awaited update, was announced for the first time in May this year.
The popular messaging application was first created in 2009 and was acquired by Facebook in 2014. It is now part of Meta’s properties which also owns Facebook and Instagram.
