The spokesperson of PTI slammed the reports of the emergence of a diary reportedly owned by Bushra Bibi, wife of the former prime minister Imran Khan.
“The chairman PTI’s wife has no relation to the alleged diary and its content. The diary does not belong to Bushra Bibi. The party cannot confirm the content of the diary,” the spokesperson said.
The PTI’s statement came soon after reports circulated that a diary of former first lady Bushra Bibi has fallen into the hands of law enforcement agencies.
The alleged diary revealed PTI’s plans to mount pressure on the judiciary, establishment and government.
TV host and columnist Javed Chaudhry claimed that the diary was discovered when police raided Imran Khan’s Zaman Park residence on August 5, shortly after he was sentenced to three years in prison to arrest him.
The entries in the diary being attributed to Bushra Bibi suggest she used to give what is being dubbed as “political dictation” to the PTI chairman.
Reports aired on TV channels said the diary detailed plans to mount pressure on the government, the establishment, and the judiciary.
However, the former prime minister’s party has disowned the alleged diary and called it a ploy to divert people’s attention from the real problem the country and its are people facing.
