A session court in Bahawalpur postponed hearing of the Islamia University drugs and videos scandal till August 10.
The court took up the matter of Chief Security Office Aijaz Shah’s bail on Tuesday but hearing ended without a ruling.
Shah, considered one of the main characters in the scandal, was arrested on July 20 and is currently in Bahawalpur Central Jail.
Police arrested Shah after allegedly discovering drugs in his possession, along with alleged obscene content linked to the university’s female officials and students on his mobile phones.
In the police report, it has also been revealed that the drug dealer student studying at the university was in contact with Ijaz’s colleagues.
A briefing to the province’s chief minister had said that the chief security officer set up a checkpost outside the girl’s hostel. Female students were photographed if they arrived late or were accompanied by a male.
The security officer then used the information to blackmail the students.
