After showing his skills on the cricket field for years and then leading the PCB, Ramiz Raja has now surprised everyone with his singing talent.
The former captain of the Pakistan cricket team stunned the fans with his reinterpretation of the famous Sri Lankan song ‘Manike Mage Hithe’ with its singer Yohani.
Sports journalist Basit Subhani shared the video on X, formerly known as Twitter, in which Raja is seen singing the famous Sri Lankan song.
Currently in Sri Lanka, he is a part of the commentary panel for the Lanka Premier League. Raja is back behind the mic after his tenure as PCB chairman came to an end last year.
Raja was sacked in December last year just days after the national team suffered a humiliating Test series defeat at the hands of England.
Raja is considered a pioneer behind the mic where he has been commentating on cricket for two decades. Now, Ramiz took the fans by surprise with his hidden talent as he sang the famous song.
Appointed by former prime minister Imran Khan in September 2021, he served as PCB chairman for 15 months.
He was the fourth former cricketer to be appointed to the post after Ijaz Butt (2008-11), Javed Burki (1994-95) and Abdul Hafeez Kardar (1972-77).
Earlier this year in June, Zaka Ashraf was appointed as the PCB chairman for the third time after Najam Sethi decided to withdraw from the race.
