Elon Musk, the owner of X which was formerly known as Twitter, has offered legal aid for users who were in trouble at work over their posts on the social media platform.
“If you were unfairly treated by your employer due to posting or liking something on this platform, we will fund your legal bill,” he said on Saturday. “No limit. Please let us know.”
The billionaire did not share the details of his tweet.
Since his takeover of the microblogging site, the company has witnessed some big changes and the recent one was changing its logo from a bird to the letter “x“.
The advertising business of the social media platform has also collapsed over the past few months. Many have blamed the loss for its looser approach to blocking hate speech and the return of previously banned far-right accounts.
Hate speech has flourished at the platform, according to nonprofit organisation the Center for Countering Digital Hate (CCDH). X has disputed the findings and is suing the CCDH.
