Varsity students beaten up after getting “caught with female student” in Bahawalpur

Three university students faced the fury of residents in the Tibba Badar Sher area of Bahawalpur after they were reportedly caught with a female student in a house.

Video footage available with Aaj TV shows several people entering the house and attacking the three inside the house.

There were later handed over to the police, which filed a first information report on the complaint of one of the victims.

The FIR was registered at the Baghdad-ul-Hadeed police station under Section 452 (House-trespass after preparation for hurt, assault or wrongful restraint), 427 (Mischief causing damage to the amount of fifty rupees), 148 (Rioting, armed with a deadly weapon) and 149 (Every member of unlawful assembly guilty of an offence committed in prosecution of common object) of the Pakistan Penal Code.

The complainant Adil Farooq claimed in the FIR that they built an animal farm at the house.

He said that on July 30, he brought a goat to the farm when an individual hurled abuses at him and slapped him. Later, around 12 people entered the farm carrying sticks and a pistol and started beating him, he added.

Farooq went on to add that the group also beat up the two who came to rescue him.

The resident said that the police file an FIR against them instead of taking action against the alleged perpetrators who brought a female to the house to sexually assault her.
