The first song of Bollywood’s Shah Rukh Khan’s upcoming film Jawan was out on Monday, as #ZindaBanda was among the top trends hours after its release.
“When principles are at stake, one must fight, This battle is what makes you alive,” Khan tweeted the English translation of a couplet from a poem as he released the song on Twitter.
The ‘King Khan’ thanked poet Wasim Barelvi for allowing the makers of the film to use the couplet with a minor change. The song was written by Irshad Kamil and the music is composed by Anirudh.
The film, which is also one of the most anticipated movies of 2023, is produced by Red Chillies Entertainment.
The film stars Shah Rukh Khan, Vijay Sethupathi, Nayanthara, and Deepika Padukone (in a special appearance). The movie is set to release in cinemas on September 7, 2023, in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.
Shah Rukh Khan is seen dancing with Sanya Malhotra and Priyamani in the three minutes and forty-five seconds song. The Jawan song has been released in Tamil and Telugu languages as well, titled Vandha Edam and Dhumme Dhulipelaa respectively.
“After the pandemic and the OTT boom, it’s not a question of whether it is a Tamil or Hindi film. If a song becomes a hit, it goes viral on reels and all platforms. Language barriers are being broken. My first song, Kolaveri, did that,” Anirudh had told an Indian media about the language barrier in films.
Jawan’s prevue was released on July 11 and Shah Rukh is apparently playing a double role in the film like he did in duplicate.
“Jawan is a universal story that goes beyond languages, geographies and is for all to enjoy,” Shah Rukh had said earlier in a statement about the movie.
