Indian woman Anju who traveled to Pakistan and married Pakistani lover Nasrullah has received another set of expensive gifts from local businessmen including a second plot. On the other hand, Pakistani woman Seema Haider, who crossed borders to unite with her Indian lover Sachin Meena is descending into abject poverty, Indian media reported on Monday.
The tales of two women are exact reversal of each other. Anju converted to Islam, taking up Islamic name of Fatima. Seema Haider announced her conversion to Hinduism, wore a Bindi and offered Tulsi pooja.
The similarities ended there.
The prospects for Anju or Fatima are improving with every passing day. A couple of days after her reported conversion, she was gifted a 10 marla plot of land by a real estate developer, Mohsin Abbasi of Pak Star Group, who also gave her Rs50,000 and offered a job.
Another real estate developer from Nawab Housing Society has now announced a second 10 marla plot for Anju.
The CEO also offered Fatima and Nasrullah a travel package for Saudi Arabia to perform Umrah.
Tufail Khan said his company will construct a house for the couple in Nasrullah’s hometown of Upper Dir, where they are currently living and pay them a monthly allowance.
Although Anju and Nasruallh, in conversation with Indian news outlets last week, denied reports of their nikkah and her conversion, the video shows them receiving the gift from Tufail.
Anju is wearing a bridal dress and sitting with Nasrullah on a stage.
Nasrullah has been successful at keeping the local media at bay. He hasn’t spoken to Pakistani journalists baring one or two ever since Anju joined him in Upper Dir on July 21. Journalists visiting his home in Dir were told by family members that Anju and Nasrullah were not available to speak.
However, businessmen have been visiting them at the same house.
The couple’s conversations with Indian media outlets were limited to a denial about their nikkah and her conversion.
Sources told Aaj News that they will hold a press conference to make a passionate appeal to the government and may seek permanent resident visa or nationality for Anju.
On the other hand, Seema and Sachin are “struggling to make ends meet as they have been facing shortages of food and other necessary items,” India Today reported on Monday.

Seema told India Today that she was distressed about the troubles that Sachin’s family was going through because of the investigation. Seema is constantly under the radar of Indian police.
According to India Today, a long queue of media personnel constantly waiting outside their house also made it difficult for them to step outside and purchase items of daily use.
