Afghan Taliban condemn blast at JUI-F’s worker convention in Bajaur

The interim government of Afghanistan condemned the blast at JUI-F’s worker convention in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Bajaur district on Sunday.

In a statement, the Afghan Taliban expressed their deepest sympathy and condolences to the bereaved families.

At least 40 people were killed and more than 100 injured when a blast ripped through the religiopolitical party workers’ convention in the KP district. The political fraternity has condemned the blast called eliminating terrorism.

The Afghan Taliban prayed for the martyrs’ souls and the speedy recovery of the injured. Such crimes are not justified in any way, they added.

Pakistan has seen an increase in terrorist attacks after the end of the ceasefire deal with the banned outfit last year. But new terrorist groups or offshoot of the outlawed Tehreek-e-Taliban has also claimed responsibility for attacks.

Pakistan has time after time urged the interim Afghan government to ensure that their soil was not used for terrorism against other countries. The country’s concern was in result of the attacks by its ideological twin, banned TTP, in Pakistan. But the neighbouring country has denied such allegations and called for presenting proof.
