Funeral prayers of the soldiers martyred in Zhob and Sui on Wednesday were offered on Thursday.
A statement from the Inter-Services Public Relations said that the funeral prayers were offered at ‘native towns today with full military honours’.
“Burial ceremonies were attended by serving and retired officers/ soldiers, relatives and a large number of people from different segments of society,” the statement said.
Earlier statements from the ISPR had said that a total of nine soldiers had been martyred in the attack on the Zhob garrison. The exchange of fire with terrorists in Sui had also led to three soldiers being martyred.
A total of seven terrorists were also killed in the two incidents.
“Armed Forces of Pakistan stand resolute and committed to eliminate the menace of terrorism from the motherland at all costs,” ISPR said.
