The brother of one the people involved in the violent protests of May 9 has issued a statement condemning the events of the day.
Saeed Alam’s brother said in a video statement that his brother had engaged in hooliganism and that he was sad at the events of May 9.
“I condemn the event in the strongest terms, what happened was not right,” he said.
He also added that party’s leadership had ordered workers to engage in vandalism in their areas but now had dissociated itself completely and was not helping workers.
Alam’s brother also added that the party that had protested was inciting people against the army, even though army was the country’s ‘pride’.
He added that people should not raise slogans against the country’s institutions and refrain from vandalism.
He also called for strict action to be taken against people involved in May 9.
