Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Hammad Azhar has clarified that he is not leaving the party to join Pakistan People’s Party.
Taking to Twitter on Tuesday, Azhar posted a graphic from TV channel 24 News which said he had joined PPP in a shock to Imran Khan.
However, Azhar clarified that he had contacted the channel which had told him that someone named Engineer Hammad Azhar had joined the PPP.
Azhar added in the Tweet that the headline was left intentionally vague to attract more clicks.
Azhar, who was elected to the National Assembly from Lahore and served as a federal minister, has reportedly gone into hiding and is one of few main faces who are still sticking with the PTI after the events of May 9.
