Authorities have sprung into action against the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (London) after the party took out a rally in Karachi on Sunday.
The party had taken out a rally from Korangi, raising alarm among authorities.
Police has now filed a case against over 100 workers belonging to the party including party leader Altaf Hussain. The case has been fined in police station Zaman Town.
Multiple peopl involved in the rally have already been identified and police and rangers are carrying out joint raids in Korangi and Landhi to make arrests.
Police said that four people were arrested from Sunday’s rally as well.
Sources said that the orders to act against the MQM-London came from the Sindh Government as well as the security insitutions.
The sources have also claimed that a decision has been taken at the highest level to prevent the MQM-London from being involved in politics in Karachi and Hyderabad under any conditions.
