Asad Qaiser refutes Khattak’s claim about Imran Khan’s involvement in May 9 violence

Former speaker Asad Qaiser has come out in support of Imran Khan and refuted claims that he was behind the violent protests of May 9.

Speaking to reporters in Peshawar High Court, Qaiser said that Pervez Khattak’s claim of Imran masterminding the riots had no truth in it.

He also appealed to the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to stick with the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf as it navigates tough times.

He also said that all parties should be given an equal opportunity in the elections and that the PTI would take on all parties alone.

Qaiser added that elections were a consitutional necessity and any elections without PTI would not be legitimate.

He added that there was question mark on the rule of law in the country. He added that countries cannot run when law and court decisions are not respected.

He also said that the rulers were making decisions about the country while sitting abroad.
