Eid ul Azha brought good news for officers and personnel from the Frontier Constabulary, with the announcement of a pay raise.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif announced the pay raise on his visit to the Afghan border in Parachinar on the first day of Eid on Thursday.

With the latest pay raise, salaries for FC officers and personnel have been raised to match the army.

Shehbaz said that the salaries had been raised in recognition of the services and sacrifices the FC had made for the country.

The government had earlier agreed to increase salaries of government employees from grades 1-16 by 35% and for grades 17 onwards by 30%. The increase will be made via adhoc allowance increase.
