Real Madrid have reached an agreement with Borussia Dortmund to sign highly-dated midfielder Jude Bellingham.
The announcement was made official by the Bundesliga side on Wednesday confirming that the teenager is set to sign a six-year deal with the Los Bancos worth €100million (£86m; $107m).
This would be one of the highest-value transfers in the history of both clubs.
The 19-year-old England international will undergo a medical in the coming days and he is expected to ink the deal after all formalities will be sorted out.
Manchester City were one of the major clubs from Europe who wanted Bellingham’s signature, but the Spanish giants were believed to be the Englishman’s preferred destination.
The Birmingham City Academy graduate made a name for himself after joining the German giants in 2020. He has gone on to establish himself as a key player for the Bundesliga side.
Bellingham, who turns 20 in June, will join the young mid-field of Real Madrid which already features Tchouameni (23) and Eduardo Camavinga (20).
The prospect of that trio playing behind the Brazilians Vinicius Junior (22) and Rodrygo (22), and the Uruguayan Fede Valverde (24) gives Real the belief that they have negotiated a tricky changing of the old guard.
