Sind Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah on Thursday said the province “will not accept” the ongoing digital census because the population in the Sindh’s province had been undercounted.
He raised objection on the census process at a press conference in Karachi.
The chief ministre said that people in different districts of Sindh were under counted by the enumerators.
The population of Karachi was shown at least 1.3 million lower than the actual number, he said.
“We want you to count us correctly,” said Murad Ali Shah.
In a separate development, the Pakistan Peoples Party, whcih rules the province, announced that it will hold demonstration across the province on Friday to protest the delay in the election of mayors.
Nisar Khuhru said the ECP schedule was causing a delay of at least one month.
