Naila Kiani has made the nation proud once again as she successfully summits Mount Lhotse in Nepal on Tuesday. Lhotse is the fourth-highest mountain in the world at 8,516 metres.
Doing so she became the only Pakistani woman to scale the six 8000-meter mountains.
Naila Kiani achieved the feat two days after she summitted the world’s highest peak, the Mount Everest.
The other five 8000-metre mountains Kiani has scaled include Everest, K2, Annapurna, Gasherbrum I, and Gasherbrum II.
Alpine Club of Pakistan’s spokesperson Karrar Haidri said that she is the first Pakistani woman to summit Lhotse and the country’s fastest woman to ascend six peaks higher than 8,000 metres.
