An Indian journalist has taunted the protesting PTI for using ‘The Kashmir Files’ song on Imran Khan’s official Instagram handle.
Currently, Imran Khan-led party is protesting against the arrest of the former Prime Minister and leaders.
In their campaign, they used numerous placards and morale-boosting songs to pump up their workers who are on the streets across Pakistan.
Doing so, they use the iconic Faiz Ahmed Faiz poem ‘Hum Dekhe Ge’ in a video posted on Khan’s Instagram. However, they mistakenly used The Kashmir Files version of the poem as highlighted by Aditya Raj Kaul in a tweet.
He wrote: “How ironic! Imran Khan’s PTI using song from Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri’s The Kashmir Files against their movement targeting Pakistan Army. The Kashmir Files was a historic film on Pakistan sponsored Islamist terrorism in Kashmir since 1989-90 forcing exodus of Kashmiri Hindus. Today Pakistan Army is calling out Imran Khan’s party members as terrorists while public in Pakistan is calling out Pakistan Military as “Dehshadgarg” (terrorists). Originally the song “Hum Dekhenge” is written by Faiz Ahmad Faiz.”
Moreover, Vivek also reacted to the development on Twitter saying “IRONY OF PAKISTAN: See the power of Indic cinema. The official account of Imran Khan is using the official song of The Kashmir Files illegally in his official video on Instagram.”
