With just over five months remaining in the ICC Cricket World Cup but fans are still waiting for the official schedule.
The 50-over tournament will be played in India in October and November this year. However, there is a lack of buzz around the tournament, due to political chaos both in Pakistan and India.
The International Cricket Council (ICC) has said the dates and venues for the 13th edition of the showpiece tournament would be out in “due course” and the host the Board for Control of Cricket in India (BCCI) maintains the same.
For starters, the tournament would kick off with a game between 2019 finalists – defending champions England and New Zealand on October 05. Hosts India would play against Australia in their opening fixture on October 08.
Meanwhile, Pakistan would start their campaign against a qualifying team on October 13.
As far as the blockbuster match of the tournament between Pakistan and India is concerned, it would take place on the 15th of the month.
