Author Fatima Bhutto tied the knot in an intimate ceremony in Karachi on Friday.
Her brother, Zulfikar Bhutto, posted a photo of the couple to make the announcement on Instagram and Twitter. The ceremony took place at the ancestral Bhutto house in 70 Clifton.
“The ceremony was attended by Fatima’s loved ones in our grandfather’s library, a place that means a lot to my dear sister,” Zulfikar wrote.
He added that they had thought that a lavish ceemony would not be appropriate due to the economic situation of the country.
“Please keep Fatima and Graham (Gibran) in your prayers. God bless you and thank you.”
Fatima Bhutto is the author of Songs of Blood and Sword and The Shadow of the Crescent Moon. She is the neice of Benzair Bhutto and the granddaughter of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, two former prime ministers of Pakistan.
