Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said that Pakistan is a peace-loving country and capable of giving a befitting reply to anti-Pakistan elements.
The Prime Minister was addressing the passing out parade at the PAF Academy Asghar Khan in Risalpur.
He said that Pakistan is facing economic challenges, but was optimistic that they would end soon and the situation of the country will improve.
Shehbaz went on to praise the Pakistan Air Force saying that the PAF has made the country proud in any challenge.
“Pakistan Air Force is prominent all over the world due to excellent professional capabilities, I am confident that the armed forces will always perform according to the aspirations of the nation,” he said.
The premier said that the PAF has always been committed to the defense of the country. “The best professional capabilities of the Pakistan Air Force are prominent in the world.”
Commenting on the Kashmir issue, Shehbaz said that India continues to violate human rights in the occupied Kashmir.
“We want positive relations with all countries on the basis of bilateral interests, it is impossible to establish peace in South Asia without the resolution of the Kashmir issue, India is blatantly violating human rights in occupied Kashmir and has turned it in prison since August 2019.”
Shehbaz Sharif further said that Pakistan’s desire for peace should not be considered a weakness. “We want peaceful relations with neighbors.”
He was the chief guest at the passing out parade, where Federal Minister for Information Marriyum Aurangzeb, Defence Minister Khawaja Asif, and Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Babar Sidhu were present.
The Prime Minister inspected the parade and was given a guard of honour. He also placed flying badges on the passing-out cadets.
